NCCER Construction Certifications

NCCER is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation created in 1996 as The National Center for Construction Education and Research. It was developed with the support of more than 125 construction CEOs and various association and academic leaders who united to revolutionize training for the construction industry. Sharing the common goal of developing a safe and productive workforce, these companies created a standardized training and credentialing program for the industry. This progressive program has evolved into curricula for more than 70 craft and maintenance areas and a complete series of more than 70 assessments offered in over 6,000 NCCER-accredited training and assessment locations across the United States.

Our OSHA-authorized courses are 100% online and accessible 24/7 from any web-enabled device. Topics covered in OSHA 30-Hour training include general worksite safety, avoiding common hazards, understanding workers' rights, employer responsibilities and more. Finish your training at your own pace and earn an official OSHA 30 card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) — a common requirement for employment in construction and other industries.

Welding Certificates

AWS Sense Certification Program

The AWS SENSE Program is a comprehensive set of minimum Standards and Guidelines for Welding Education programs. Schools can incorporate SENSE into their own curriculum in order to help attain Perkins funding as well as to help ensure an education that is consistent with other SENSE schools across the nation. This program is fully supported by the American Welding Society (AWS). The AWS SENSE Program shall not be confused with the AWS Certified Welder certification program.

AWS D1.1 Structural Steel

This endorsement covers four subject areas in AWS D1.1, material and design, fabrication, inspection, and qualification. Subject weights for each of these areas are in conformance with the codebook examination requirements as expressed in section 7.1 of AWS B5.1, Specification for the Qualification of Welding Inspectors.

API 1104, WELDING OF PIPELINES AND RELATED FACILITIES

Candidates seeking the API 1104 endorsement shall pass an open book written examination consisting of 60 multiple choice questions in two hours. Candidates must use the API 1104 Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities to answer the questions. Candidates may not use photocopied versions of the standard unless they can supply evidence of purchase of the document.

Successful candidates must correctly answer 72% of the questions to receive this endorsement. Re-examinations for this endorsement shall be in accordance with section 6.2.5 of AWS QC1.

NIMS Manufacturing Certifications

NIMS credentials are earned by students, trainees, apprentices, employees, and military personnel nationwide and around the world. By earning NIMS credentials, these individuals secure a competitive edge when applying for jobs because they have demonstrated that their skills meet the industry established standards.

Tradesman Plumber-Limited

A Tradesman Plumber-Limited may construct, install, repair, service, or renovate plumbing for one and two-family dwellings under the supervision of a Responsible Master Plumber. A Tradesman may also directly supervise a Plumber’s Apprentice on job sites for one and two-family dwellings. If you are a licensed Tradesman and want to work on a job that involves a structure other than a one or two-family dwelling, you may do so only under the direct supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber. Direct supervision means that the Journeyman or Master is on the job site with you at all times you are performing plumbing work
